The fjordlands open onto pristine blue tropical waters of the coastline of Oro Province and Cape Nelson with many uncharted reefs, underwater WWII dive sites and stunning marine biodiversity. There is a ribbon reef system, not unlike the Barrier Reef in Australia, (nearest reef (excluding our famous House Reef which is 3 minutes from the resort) is only 15 minutes' boat trip away) running parallel to the shore. The reefs come up out of nowhere from a depth of around 600m, hence the unreal visibility. There is abundant fish life, with large schools of pelagics. Such as a variety of tuna, spanish mackerel, barracuda, white tip reef sharks and the uncommon white hammerhead sharks. Manta and Eagle Rays are often lazily cruising by. The adjacent mainland areas have a rich local cultural heritage and a scenic beauty that has to be seen to be believed. The best time is from October through mid-June for the really flat seas.
